A Little Steampunk

Not much sewing going on at my place at the moment...but hubby will be back at work on Monday so I might be able to get a little done then. We have just been so busy catching up on the gardening and all of those odds and ends that need doing around the home.

Today I did get to spend some time with Darcee my 14 year old son and I was teaching him how to solder. Darcee had a go at making a Steam-punk spider.
This is made from lots of little pieces from old watches and he used a small bulb for the body.
He still needs a little practice with soldering but over all I feel that it turned out pretty well.
and he is happy and I got to spend quality time with him so all in all a great day.

Having just done the Christmas swap with a steampunk request, I actually know what you are talking about now & love Darcee's first efforts. Who would have thought learning to weld would have such wonderfully intricate & creative results. Keep it up Darcee & show us more. Tracee xx

Hi Tracee... I am not a big fan of our 8 legged friends but that one is really clever....
I have only just worked out that you are one of the other North Polers.... (bit slow on my side!!!)
