June's Mini Challenge Unveiling

At our little group the Gisborne Quilters our fearless leader Tania decided to run a monthly challenge.
Our 1st challenge was to make a mini quilt no bigger than 24 Inches x 24 Inches
The idea was to make this in May and have it ready for show on the first Wednesday of June.
Here is a little more from our Mill Rosie Get together.
This is some of the lovely gifts made by some very talented ladies, for our
SOMETHING BLUE SWAP.
and of course a picture of all the gifts together......

Applique Needle Case Swap

Here is a couple of images of my needle case and pin cushion that I had sent to my swap partner Evelyn a little while ago. You will have to excuse the quality they have seemed to have turned out a bit bright which isn't showing the beautiful colors off too well. The centre flower I have used moss green felt for leaves with cream felt petals a red felt centre I then beaded lots of yellow glass beads in the middle it actually turned out very nice. The photo unfortunately isn't doing it much justice.

Embroidery Mini Quilt Swap

On Friday afternoon my daughter Chloe came running into the house so excited after being to our mail box, for there was a parcel from America. We excitedly opened the parcel and what a lovely surprise was inside. It was the Mini Quilt from my swap partner along with some other goodies. A little handmade bag some note cards and a friendly hello from my swap partner Dorothy. Thank you Dorothy you made our afternoon.
