Finally a FnwF update.

Friday night I stitched along with many friends from the blogging world and a few of the lovely locals.
This Friday I was joined by a few dear friends Tania, Sue and Marg at my little humble abode.
We ate stitched, knitted, watched (others sewing, instead of being productive) and read the newest edition of Homespun. Oh....we may of heard a corny joke or two.
(Who knew that penguins were so clever)hehehe

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica
Where do they go?
Wonder no more ! ! !
It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into, and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

"Freeze a jolly good fellow."
"Freeze a jolly good fellow."

I know, I know, these poor ladies certainly have a lot to contend with when it comes to putting up with me. Hehehehe
As you can see Sue above is busily watching making teeny little hexie flowers and Tania is concentrating very hard on making bigger hexies.

Marg is super busy appliqueing her Kangaroos down.

As for me FnwF started a bit earlier in the day with me making 12 Polaroid blocks. these will now be sent off to Sharon to be incorporated into an Eye Spy quilt for gorgeous little Blake.
Friday night I managed to get a little bit of knitting done.
Thanks again for a lovely night ladies......I'm looking forward to the next one.
Then on Saturday morning I made 2 pillow cases which will be sent off to the
Patchwork & Stitching/Pillowcase Appeal
Pillowcases for Oncology
This years Theme is Somewhere over the Rainbow
So they are asking for lovely bright colored fabrics.
If your interested in helping you can find the details here
