Quilting Bee

On Saturday I spent a very relaxing and enjoyable day with these lovely ladies.
We had all come together to help Donna hand piece the borders on to her Double Friendship Star Blocks
Donna has 42 hand pieced Double Friendship Star blocks from all over the world after joining an on line swap group. How amazing is that 42 wonderful HAND PIECED blocks.
How crazy is that.....so Donna thought that it would be nice if some of her crazy local friends would come around and help her HAND PIECE the borders on.
I must say that the finish result is stunning and it is also HUGE.
Overall it was a terrific day where we got to stitch, eat and laugh. Donna certainly spoilt us with lots of scrumptious food and champagne. We even got ice-cream and fruit for desert...Yummy.....
Then there was prizes, lucky dips and trivia to help break up the stitching.
