Muck Up Day

When you do year 12 out our secondary college and the year draws to an end the
students have what they call a muck up week. This I presume is to let loose and get rid of all anxieties before they do their final exams. The week includes-Tuesday & Thursday is for dressing up in a costume that starts with a letter from one of your initials. E.g. Michelle could dress as Minnie Mouse. Wednesday you transform your uniform into what ever you like and then get your fellow peers to graffiti it. Friday is to PARTY and graduation.

My sons girlfriend had asked me to help transform her uniform so I have put up some picks of what we achieved.

We started with this.....

Using only theses materials which Darcy had purchased earlier.....

And ended up with a skirt and top, unfortunately my photo turned out a bit dark.

The back of the skirt it has a big bow....

This is the front, please bear in mind that I am no dress maker only a quilter and crafter, and there was no pattern and I normally say no, no, no, no, to mending or dress making.
But she did ask ever so nicely :)

Oh boy - no hand-me-down school uniforms over with you then!
Good effort - looks like it will be good fun!
