My FnwF was quite a night or should I say weekend...
I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with some wonderful ladies down at Sue's beach house in
St Leonards.
St Leonards is situated near the Bellarine Peninsula's most Easterly point,
between Queenscliff and Indented Head with a population of aprox 2000.
Friday night with Sue, Tania and Marg was filled with yummy fish and chips, laughter, chatter and lots of sewing
On Saturday we decided to go on a Tikki Tour to a gorgeous Patchwork shop
Sue, Marg and Tania managed to spend up on some very much needed items....I mean really, when is fabric and patterns never needed.
I was actually after some DMC thread, I had ran out of brown for my Matilda Station but unfortunately they didn't stock any so what does a girl gotta do in a situation like this........... find more shops of course.
So we headed on down to Geelongs very own Market Square where good old
was found and so was my DMC yippee.
We had time to browse a gorgeous shop on Level 1
Sophie is the proud owner of this new store, her bubbly warm welcome was certainly contagious it is so nice to meet some one so friendly ....many shops should learn from her enthusiasm.
Sophie had gorgeous gift ware and journals at extremely reasonable prices she also had hand made clothing for sale that was made by her good friend.
Well worth a look if your ever in Geelong.
After a Gloria Jean coffee it was back to St Leonards for a warm bowl of Potato and Leek soup that Marg had whipped up. Then into some very serious sewing.
Tania worked on her French General Hexies
I worked on the never ending fence line of the Matilda station.....I have to keep these animals in some how.
Marg worked on her roaming free Kangaroos
Sue has been very busy repairing someone else's Hexagon flimsy.
and working on block1 of her received 4 block of the month.
