Playing around with faces

Having a bit of a play with paints, stamps and markers.

 Just another way of letting the creative juices flow.

 After all of my playing around I decided that these free spirits 

are little tree Nymphs

Matilda Stars

Today I worked on the Matilda Station Quilt.

I was busy cutting and sewing and occasionally unpicking.

 Hopefully I will get all of these pieced and the rows joined tonight.

After all, I'm just glad to be getting some sewing done. 

Especially on this long forgotten quilt.

Arty Party

What a fun and creative day I've had.

I headed off bright and early this morning with Sue to the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne.

This is where the Scrap book and Paper Expo was being held.

I love this old building!

We booked into the Arty Party class with Jane Davenport.

Nothing better than being able to create mess and play with gesso, matt medium, paints and inks.

We also got to rip paper and let our imagination flow.

Jane is a fabulous teacher, she always makes everything look soooo easy.

Until you have a go at it yourself.

Catching up on a block of the month that I started years ago....

Block 8 of Matilda Station.

Geees...I started this when my youngest; Darcee... was in Kinder.

Where does the time go, he is now 14 and at High School.

Mmmmm, what could my excuse possibly be......
