Merry Christmas

2 more Chrissy breakups now over with.
I took along these yummy Kahlua Choc mousse delights to our Meditation break up I must say that they went down a treat.
Everything is edible even the white choc casing so these are perfect for the chocoholic.
Gifts are wrapped and under the tree I find that now with big Teenage children life is a little easier in the gift department. I no longer need to hide the pressies.
Wishing you all

High Tea & a Show and Tell

Gisborne Quilters had their Christmas break up at the beautiful Campaspe House in Woodend
This was organised by two lovely ladies Tania & Amanda
They had decided on a High Tea affair which was absolutely divine. There is nothing better than having an array of the most naughtiest foods laid out before you in one of the most gorgeous rooms of Campaspe House which is a 1920's Manor which is set on 15 hectares with 2 acres of elegant gardens designed by the late Edna Waling.

So many delicious treats, the scones were extremely light and fluffy.
The ladies did a show and tell of this years challenge quilts the theme was Australia and or a Poetry Quilt.
The Galahs at Ayes Rock was made by Marg absolutely stunning.
This is Australian Hands of friendship created by Sue each set of hands is sitting around our sewing table in Gisborne & represents each and every one of us at Gisborne Quilters
This is my set of hands it also includes the Reiki Prayer
Soooo very clever.

Another piece by the very talented Sue Hand painted and Machine quilted this is a very stunning piece.
Here we have Donnas quilt, this is also amazing the gum leaves actually hang off the quilt giving it the 3D look.
Donna has also made this as a gift for her Hubby for Christmas I'm sure that he is going to love it.

Tissue paper flowers.

50 Giant tissue flower balls
300 small tissue flowers
40 Teeny tissue blossoms
86 Choc coated dark fruit cake pops
and I am pleased to say we are done. Yeah for us.
We went down on Friday to hang our flowers up and to put out the centre pieces.
The wedding was on Saturday I do believe it went off with out a hitch.
This is the wedding guest finger print board.

The flowers looked great it was if they were just floating in mid air. We used fishing line so that way it was invisible to the naked eye.

At this stage the tables still needed to be set with glasses and cutlery and the tea lights that are in the jars just needed to be lit.

The tables still needed to be arranged and chairs added but I was assured that people were coming Saturday morning to do this.
I'm still waiting on photos of the hall set up in its completed stage with tea lights a glow.
I have been told though that every one was extremely happy and loved the work that was done.

A little up date.

December!!!!
Where the does the time go, seriously I feel that my mind and body is still back in July some days..
The last few weeks I've been flat out making and creating as we all do.
Along with planning and organising Birthdays, wedding decorations and Xmas
not to mention shopping.
Normally I love shopping but this year I would prefer to be any where else but at the shops.

I've been putting the last little touches to a Chris Kringle

Robyn and myself have now made over 300 of these tissue paper flowers.

They just keep multiplying. Yes we are so far on track for this wedding.
This Friday we have to pop over and set up the hall.

I have also done a little bit of clay work air drying of course.
Just something else that I have wanted to try. Please not that the only thing on this stick that belongs to me is the clay piece there is no way on earth I would use that much hot glue on something.
