Tuesday Treasures (My menagerie)

Welcome to Tuesday Treasures which is kindly ran
by
Today is share your pets day
so I popped together a collage of all our pets.
Each and every one of them is so special in their own way, and if I was to be totally honest life would not be the same with out them.
Without further adieu here is an introduction to the extension of our family.
  1. Harmony-Pomeranian cross terrier a real little sweet heart and a bit of a sook. She is pictured above with her long coat and after she is clipped.
  2. J.D.-Maltese Terrier cross Lass Apso. Gotta feel sorry for this guy the girls give him such a hard time, but he is just so loveable and full of personality.
  3. Isis - Belgian Shepherd. She is so beautiful and is my constant shadow.
  4. Famous - Boxer. He is actually not our dog but quite often wanders down to our place to snooze in the girls bed.
  5. Snowy & Pepper - Both male ferrets the belong to my son very mischievous.
  6. Schnitzel - Our cow, she provides us with beautiful rich creamy milk, but suffers with an identity problem---She thinks that she is a dog.
  7. Holly - My beautiful cat, she never gives us an ounce of trouble.
  8. Fallapart - Our very camera shy ginger cat, I will get a picture of him one day.
  9. The Girls - Our lovely range of Isa brown chicks which as you can see keep us supplied with a bounty of eggs. Better not forget Red the big bossy rooster.

Red Work - (Blue)

Good morning all...
I've managed to get a little bit of stitching done, a girlfriend and myself have decided to meet up fortnightly and work on a Xmas tree skirt pattern called Ten Christmas Wishes by Hugs'n Kisses
By doing this we are hoping to actually have it finished in time for Xmas. Yay.. ;)
All though this is calling for Red Work stitching, (Which my friend Nicole is doing) I decided to go with blue and silver, which is the colour that we decorated our tree in last year.
So far so good, I have all of the pieces cut out and the designs traced on so hopefully from here it will be full steam ahead.
I thought that I would give you a glimpse of the beautiful morning sunrise that we were getting last week.

Noticed how I said were...this is what we now sit in until well after lunch and believe me it was a lot thicker than this when I dropped the kids of to school.
The upside is....it's a lot cooler.

I also managed to get some more tea cup pin cushions done along with some pretty little labels.

I hope that you are all well and happy stitching everyone.....

Here is a picture of the old vintage basket that I was revamping.
I found some fantastic crafting fabric in my stash which is a Debbie Mumm design.
And do you remember this picture
Could you guess what they could be?
Well...they actually turn into these....
6 down and about 10 more to go.

Thanks to Google

Excuse me for the little bit of a rant and rave that I'm just about to do...
But!
I can not believe the trouble that I have had over the last couple of days with my gmail and my blog.
As I went to check my mail the other day, I had a sign pop up saying that my acct has been locked along with all other affiliates to my acct until I can prove that I am over the age of 13...
13 for heavens sake I'm 42!
Can you believe it I have had this CRAFT/QUILTING blog and email for years then all of a sudden it's was all gone.
I couldn't check my blog for it said that it had bee removed.
Believe me panic does set in especially when you put so much effort into your blog, and the thought of losing all the friends that you make whilst blogging along with all of the swaps and groups that you join.
Not Happy.
So after sending off the required proof of age, my gmail has been returned.
Great!
Now to check the blog oh no that had still been removed.
So as I was just about ready to do my block...
When A MIRACLE happens
my blog was suddenly accessible again.
So now I'm feeling nothing but relief..
Modern technology.......
You just gotta love it....

Productive Friday

Today I had a fun day finding ways to use up some of my scraps
So I made up some little tea cup pin cushions for mums stall.
Sorry that the images are a bit dull, we are having such strange weather lately and
today was quite over cast.

My daughter desperately needed a pencil case the zip had gone in her old one.
So I figured out how to print on some calico, after some trial and error I managed to print these.
My images were what I got from the graphic fairy's blog
Chloe was very happy with the result.

W.I.P Wednesday

I was given this vintage sewing basket by my Grandmother
 quite some time ago,
as you can see it is need of a major overhaul.
Time to finally give this a revamp, so this is what I'll be up to today.
This is another little project that I have going...
Can you guess what they are...
So what have you been working on lately? I'd love to read about it, drop us a line.
Hugs

Pelican

Dear daughter had been very busy looking for a pelican to give to her friend for a birthday present.
But....after much searching there was none to be found.
Then I remembered seeing a pattern for one in one of the Homespun mags.
So problem now solved...
